Our firm began in 2018 as a small woman-owned and operated financial business and has grown over the years to incorporate tax preparers from across the country. Our home base is located in Brandon, Vermont on the edge of the Green Mountains and we are proud of our reputation for personable and quality service.

Our services include tax planning and preparation, business consulting, new business formation, and professional bookkeeping services. We pride our ability to provide those services entirely remotely, offering a simple solution to our busy clients across the United States.

MEET THE TEAM

Ashlie Smith
CEO & Principal Accountant 

Ashlie holds a master’s degree in accounting and a certification in business management from Champlain College. Before founding EFS, she spent seven years working in public accounting and tax, developing a strong foundation in the field. Ashlie brings deep expertise and a client-focused approach to every relationship. Outside of the office, you’ll find her on the side of a wrestling mat cheering on her two children, whom she’s incredibly proud of. She also enjoys reading, yoga, hiking, and snowboarding—always finding ways to stay active and inspired.

​Britney Marsano
​Account Manager

​​Britney is our Account Manager here at Elite Financial Service. She’s passionate about helping businesses stay organized and confident in their finances, and is always looking for opportunities to grow in her career. Recently stepping into the role of first-time parents, she and her husband are embracing the whirlwind of learning and love that comes with it. Outside of work, Britney enjoys spending time behind the camera and working on creative projects for her Etsy store—blending her love for photography, art, and creativity into everyday life.

Ardenia Murdock
​Lead Senior Tax Advisor

Ardenia is a lead advisor at Elite Financial Services, specializing in personal and S-Corporation tax returns. Known for her strong attention to detail and calm, friendly attitude, she brings a thoughtful and reliable presence to the team. She’s been with the firm for over a year and loves the flexibility of working from home while homeschooling her two amazing boys. When she’s not diving into numbers or schoolwork, you’ll likely find her exploring the outdoors and embracing life’s adventures with her family.

Jenna Lossman
Staff Accountant

Jenna is one of our staff accountants at Elite Financial Services. With her upbeat energy, quick wit, and can-do attitude, she brings a fun and positive presence to the team. Outside of work, she enjoys life on her family farm with her three children and a menagerie of animals—including goats, chickens, dogs, cats, and horses. And if you can't find her at home, she's probably teaching on a line dancing floor. Her balanced life reflects the same dedication and care she brings to every client relationship.​

Tamara Brown
Executive Administrator ​

Tamara is our Executive Administrator here at Elite Financial Services. She supports the team through many parts of the tax process and helps keep things organized behind the scenes. Originally from Vermont, she now lives in Tennessee with her husband and their cat, Theo. Tamara holds a degree in Kinesiology and enjoys exploring health and wellness, spending her free time baking sourdough, and teaching softball. Her day-to-day work helps keep things on track so our team can stay focused on serving our clients.
